Bishop Speechly Vidyapeeth - Academics
Bishop Speechly Vidyapeeth launched her new academic venture on 2nd June2014,under the able guidance of Mrs. Valsamma Kurian Chakkalakkal, who took charge has the principal of the school this year. We are proud to work and grow under new principal who master diverse levels of academics and other activities. We upheld a motto of "Work together and grow together" and follow the footsteps of our able leader.
The school detour and started its journey towards succe3ss under our new principal.She implemented noval and creative activities in academics and co-curricukar fields enabling the growth of teachers and students hand in hand.
Assembly is conducted regulrly on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.The lowere primary has its assembly on Monday and Wednesday. The upper Primary and High School assembly on Tuesday and Thursday and the kindergarden assembly on Friday . Through the assembly we intend to inculcate good and moral values among children. We conduct and transfer the themes to the children through ' Dance - Dramas' as thereby cultivating, novelty,creativity and enthusiasm among students. Through the assembly equal oppurtunities are provided for the children to grow and develop their talent. We celebrate all the occasions like Father's day , Independence day, Hiroshima day , Friendship day and so on.....
Staff meeting is conducted weekly in an effective and regular fashion, after school hours .Worshops are done effectively to improve the quality of the students for all subject. Spoken English classes conducted for teachers during the holiday vacation. The classes were taken by Sojia and Riza.
A close communication is carried out between the teachers and the parents regarding the overall development of the student. We value each student and ensure that all of them are aware of the changes and issue in the society. We conduct"Current Affairs Test " every month to check the social awareness of the children
A P.T.A General Body was conducted in the month of July .The suggestions of parents were accepted and their problems resolved. PTA Executive meetings were conducted twice after the general body to discuss the4 matters regarding the upliftment of the institution .
The staff prayer conducted daily before the classes followed by the school prayer. Every first Friday of every month is dedicated for prayer service and the students and teachers are blessed by it. The principal took the initiative to make beautiful bouquets for the teachers on their birthdays as a token of respect and thus valuing their participation.
Awareness is given to the students about the safety measures that they have to undertake at home and outside.; as a part of it students from every classes created beautiful charts which state the safety rules they were supposed to undertake .The students were divided into four houses healthy competitions will be held between students which would cater to multiply their talents within them.
Our kindergarden splendour of its own celebrating each day with each titles such as -colours day, fruits day, vegetable day and so on;we take this measure to make them familiaze the colours ,vegetables and fruits which they come across daily.
We also celebrate Friendship Day, Grandparents Day and other special days and through dance - skits we inculcate values among students .
We have a piggy bank facility which collect the the extra money from students under their own will. It will be used to provide a helping hands for the cancer patients and other needy people in the society.
on World Environment day, our students enacted a skit and the our principal planted a sapling afterwards; and we took the vow that we would raise a given umbrella over the earth.
The principal, staff and the students of Bishop Speechly Vidyapeeth joined hands and began our race this year by seeking the blessings of the Almighty. We uphold the motto, "Work together and grow together"- we cater the needs of each other, help the fallen and rise up towards success. We work unitidly under the hold leadership of our principal, bursar and management for the successful functioning of our institution.
